Cooperation with Educational Center Šavnik

At Vjetro park Bijela D.O.O., we are committed to ensuring that our renewable energy project not only delivers clean power, but also contributes to the long-term social and educational development of the communities in which we operate.

To support this vision, Vjetro Park Bijela D.O.O. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Educational Centre Šavnik, an institution established in 2006 that provides preschool, primary, and secondary education, as well as a dormitory for students. The Centre also operates regional branches in Bijela, Duži, and Dubrovsko, and plays a vital role in shaping the future of young people in the municipality of Šavnik.

Why this partnership matters

The MoU provides a framework for collaboration during the development, construction, and operation of the Bijela Wind Farm.
The aim is to support quality education, promote sustainable and responsible social development, and create opportunities for vocational training, innovation, and youth engagement.

Areas of Collaboration

Through this partnership, the Parties will work together to:

• Promote sustainable development through joint activities focused on environmental protection, social responsibility, and community development.
• Identify education and social investment initiatives that benefit the Centre, its students, and the wider community.
• Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and resources, including study visits, mentoring programs, and skills development relevant to energy and sustainability.
• Engage with public institutions, NGOs, and community groups to support joint initiatives with lasting impact.

This MoU marks the beginning of a long-term cooperation. Together, we will design and implement specific programs and projects that enhance educational opportunities, empower young people, and ensure that the Bijela Wind Farm contributes to the social well-being and future resilience of Šavnik and the wider region.
