Studies

At Wind Farm Bijela, all relevant studies are being carefully conducted to ensure minimal impact on the environment and society, while fully complying with applicable standards. Currently, the following assessments are under preparation:

• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), in accordance with Montenegrin EIA legislation, which including but not limited to:
  • Analysis of project impacts on ecosystems, forestry and biodiversity with a special focus on avifauna,
  • Assessment of impacts on water resources and soil quality,
  • Analysis of impacts on air quality and local climate,
  • Assessment of landscape and visual impacts.
• Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), according to international standards, which covers the following assessments among others:
  • Biodiversity and ecosystems assessments including risk collision study for avifauna,
  • Noise and shadow flicker assessments,
  • Landscape and visual impact,
  • Socio-economic assessment, and
  • Land acquisition assessments and planning.
