Cooperation with Tourism Organisation Šavnik

At Vjetro park Bijela D.O.O., we believe that renewable energy projects should not only provide clean electricity but also support the growth and vitality of local communities.

To reinforce this vision, Vjetro park Bijela D.O.O. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tourism Organisation of the Municipality of Šavnik (TO Šavnik). Based in Šavnik, TO Šavnik plays a key role in promoting the municipality’s tourism potential by developing tourism services, assisting visitors, organizing cultural and promotional events, and collaborating with local and national stakeholders on sustainable tourism planning.

Why this partnership matters

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation during the development, construction, and operation of the Bijela Wind Farm.
The aim is to promote tourism, ecotourism, and sustainable social development, creating long-term benefits for the Municipality of Šavnik and surrounding communities.

Areas of Collaboration

Through this partnership, the Parties will work together to:

• Foster communication and cooperation in areas of shared interest, particularly tourism development and sustainability.
• Identify social and investment initiatives that benefit TO Šavnik, local stakeholders, and the broader community at local, regional, and national levels.
• Explore synergies between renewable energy operations and tourism development in Šavnik.
• Collaborate with government institutions, NGOs, and community groups to support joint initiatives that create lasting positive impact.

This MoU represents the beginning of a long-term partnership. By working together, the Bijela Wind Farm and TO Šavnik will identify and implement specific initiatives that strengthen tourism, promote ecotourism, and ensure that the Bijela Wind Farm contributes to the economic, cultural, and social prosperity of Šavnik and beyond.
